Eric Alterman has over 15 years of experience as a cello teacher, having maintained a private studio, taught at the university level, and coached chamber music. He has served as a Teaching Artist at Willamette University, offered masterclasses throughout the region, and coached chamber music at summer camps including Young Musicians and Artists (YMA) and the Delgani String Quartet Academy.
Alterman maintains an active teaching studio in Portland, OR, and virtually on Zoom, teaching students of all ages and abilities. His teaching emphasizes physical ease, beautiful tone production, musical character, and mindful practice.
